Dumpster pricing in Tampa Bay is famous for the number on the ad being nowhere near the number on the invoice. We publish our pricing on the site and this post walks through it line by line, so there is nothing to discover later.
The two rates
- Weekly: $375 for the week, then $20 for each additional day up to a 28-day maximum.
- 28-day month: $795 flat. If a project is going to run more than about three weeks, the monthly rate is the cheaper way to book it.
Both rates are for our 10-yard dump trailer — 12 feet long, 7 feet wide, 4 feet high, roughly five to six pickup truck loads.
What is already in the price
- Delivery, within 20 miles of our Clearwater yard
- Pickup, whenever you call
- Placement where you want it, with boards down to protect the surface
- One ton of weight
- Disposal of a standard landfill load
There is no fuel surcharge, no environmental fee, and no charge for calling for pickup early.
What can add to it
There are exactly three things, and all of them are under your control.
- 1Weight over one ton — $59 per additional ton, shown on the PCSW scale receipt we give you.
- 2Distance beyond 20 miles from the Clearwater yard — $2.50 per additional mile.
- 3Days beyond the weekly rate — $20 each, up to the 28-day cap.
The deposit and the balance
A $50 deposit reserves your date when you book online. The balance is charged to your card on delivery. You can reschedule at any time, and if you cancel 24 or more hours before delivery the deposit is refunded in full. Cancellations inside 24 hours are non-refundable, because by then the trailer is committed to you.
How to keep the bill at the booked price
- Keep heavy material to 5 yards or less per load, and tell us in advance if the job is heavy
- Cover the trailer if it will sit through afternoon storms — water is weight
- Separate scrap metal; it comes out of the disposal weight and has value
- Call for pickup as soon as you're done rather than letting the days run
- Check the distance from Clearwater if you're out toward the edges of Pasco or Hillsborough
Three worked examples
Putting numbers to typical jobs makes the pricing concrete. These use only the published rates; your load will weigh what it weighs, and the scale receipt is the final word.
- A garage cleanout in Largo, loaded over a weekend, called in for pickup Monday: the weekly rate of $375, well inside the included ton, inside the free delivery zone. Total $375.
- A bathroom gut in Palm Harbor with a tile floor and mortar bed: $375 for the week. If the load weighs in at two tons, one additional ton is billed at $59. Total $434, with the PCSW scale receipt showing the weight.
- A month-long kitchen remodel in Clearwater with the trailer on site for the duration: the 28-day rate of $795 flat, with any extra weight billed the same way. Booking the weekly rate and running it 28 days would cost $375 plus 21 extra days at $20, so the monthly rate is the right call for any job past about three weeks.
In every case the deposit is $50 at booking and the rest is charged on delivery. If you are unsure whether a job is heavy, send photos before you book and we will tell you what to expect rather than letting the scale ticket be the first you hear of it.
Frequently asked questions
Is a weekend rental cheaper?
The weekly rate is the base rate. If you finish over a weekend, call for pickup Monday — you don't pay for days you don't use beyond the week.
Is there a charge for a second load?
A second load is a second rental at the same flat rate, with the same free delivery and pickup and its own included ton.
Do you charge for a trailer that comes back light?
No. The rate is the rate whether it's full or a quarter full. There is no minimum weight.
