Projects run long. It is normal, it happens on most jobs, and it is not a problem as long as you tell us before the pickup date rather than after.
How extending works
Call us. That is the whole process. The weekly rate covers seven days and there is a daily rate beyond that, up to a 28-day maximum on any single rental.
We will move the pickup and confirm the new date. The additional days settle with the balance at pickup.
Call before the pickup day, not on it
This matters practically. Our route is planned around scheduled pickups, and a trailer we arrive for that is not ready costs us a trip and costs you a wasted appointment.
A day's notice is plenty. Even a few hours is much better than nothing.
When to extend and when to swap
If the trailer is nearly full and you still have material, extending does not help — you need an empty trailer, not more days.
A swap means we collect the full trailer and drop an empty one. That is the right call when:
- The trailer is full and the job is not finished
- You have hit the weight limit but still have volume left
- The project turned out to be substantially bigger than expected
- You are working in phases and each phase fills a trailer
Tell us early if you think that is where the job is heading, so we can schedule it cleanly.
The 28-day cap
We cap a single rental at 28 days. Trailers need to come back into rotation, and a project genuinely running past a month is usually one that benefits from a swap partway through anyway.
If you know from the start that the job will take weeks, the 28-day rate is better value than a week plus daily extensions.
What if you finish early?
Call us and we will collect early where the schedule allows. There is no penalty for finishing ahead, and getting the trailer out of your driveway sooner is usually welcome.
Weather delays
Afternoon storms and summer heat genuinely cost working days here. We build that into how we talk about timelines, and a weather-driven extension is not something we are going to be difficult about.
Just keep us posted
The only version of this that goes badly is silence. A quick call to (727) 779-8919 solves essentially every timeline problem on a rental.
